Luton Town have confirmed two fixture changes, bringing forward a cup trip and rearranging a postponed league game. The Hatters' Vertu Trophy group stage fixture away to Colchester United has been moved from Tuesday, October 6 to Saturday, October 3 with a 3pm kick-off.
A club statement said the change was agreed "following discussions between the two clubs and in agreement with the EFL." The match falls in an international break where neither side has a scheduled league game, allowing the switch to a weekend slot. All existing ticketing arrangements for the Southern Group D clash remain valid, with Town fans allocated the Achilleus Security North Stand at the JobServe Community Stadium.
Huddersfield trip set
Luton have also finalised a new date for their postponed League One trip to Huddersfield Town. The original fixture, set for September 26, was called off due to international call-ups. It will now be played on Tuesday, November 3 with a 7:45pm kick-off.
"Jack Wilshere and his squad will now travel to Yorkshire on Tuesday 3rd November for a 7:45pm kick-off," the club confirmed. Ticket details for the John Smith's Stadium visit will be announced in the coming weeks. A new date for the postponed home game against Doncaster Rovers is still to be agreed and announced.
The schedule adjustments come as Luton prepare for a key home game against third-placed Bradford City this Saturday. The team's recent form shows just one win in their last five league outings, a run they will be desperate to improve upon starting this weekend. Fans can view the full upcoming fixtures on the club site.
Focus now turns to the immediate challenge, with the team looking to build momentum and climb the table.
