Luton Town's Christ Makosso is on the verge of signing with AJ Auxerre. The 22-year-old defender, under contract with Luton Town until 2029, has reportedly reached an agreement with the French club.
What's happening?
Auxerre are set to pay around €1.5m, including bonuses, for Makosso's transfer. This move comes after Makosso spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Oxford United.
Why the move?
Makosso, a Congolese international with five caps, will now try to relaunch his career under Will Still, Auxerre's newly appointed manager. He could become the club's second summer signing, following Xiangxin Wei.
